Tis the season …. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and in Florida one of the best things that makes the season is the annual boat parades all the communities have.  Our home, Madeira Beach, is having one of the BEST PARADES this year!  We are hoping for over 50 boats lighting up the intracoastal waterways on December 12th.  This year the prizes are awesome with best boat winning $2,500 and a total of $7,000 up for grabs.

We are hoping all you locals with get to decorating your boats and enter.  There are 2 class divisions: Under 25ft and 25ft and over.  No entry fees and you can pick up your boat numbers anytime at the Madeira Beach Marina.  There will be a captain’s meeting on Thursday the 10th to go over all the rules and how the parade route works.  If you want to enter the parade ENTER HERE BELOW or call (727) 399-2631 to get the application or visit the marina.

New this year for all you VIEWERS.  The newly renovated recreation complex will be a great spot to watch the parade.  There is a FREE event called the ROC’n the Boat with activities from 4pm to 11pm.  All proceeds from the event will benefit ROC Park which is a beautiful park that lines the edges of the recreation fields.

• 50/50 and Raffles all evening
• Bring your chairs & blankets for concert and parade viewing
• LIVE MUSIC all evening with:
  Cameron Decker  •  That Pack  •  Josh Cruz and Greg Billings Band
• Fireworks in the park – after the parade is done (approx 10pm) we will Light up the Sky
