This past summer Jacob Choi, Jack Vasilaros and Team Highwater Companies landed a 98.98 lbs Wahoo on 20lbs test. They were fishing 80 miles off Clearwater in about 167ft of water when they came across this beast. They fed a dead lizard fish to this near line class world record off the back of the boat. Old Salts brought out their state certified scales and weighed this beast in. What a great catch!!
The Wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri) is the largest of all mackerels and is found worldwide in tropical and subtropical coastal waters.
