Every Fall, Old Salt hosts the Very Special Kids Fishing Day, held at the Fort Desoto Boat Ramps, to afford special needs youth & their families a fun filled day on the water. Together with our good works partner, PARC Center For Disabilities, we assemble up to 50 anglers with boats to take them out for boating, fishing, sight seeing… whatever they care to do.

Following a morning on the water we all assemble back at the park for good old fashioned to a cook out and acknowledgement ceremony. Every kid leaves with, not only great memories but, fishing rods, gear & tackle.
