2015 Fall King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament

why

Have you ever tournament fished? If you have then you are likely familiar with the Old Salt King of the Beach Fishing Tournament. If you haven’t, and always wanted to, it is the best tournament to begin with. There are 3 great reasons …

ink-seals

  • LEVEL PLAYING FIELD: Old Salt has made winning the King of the Beach possible for all levels of anglers. We implemented a 30 mile boundary to ensure boats with 1, 2, 3 or more engines can compete head to head. Also, no intimidating check outs or shotgun starts.
  • OVER 50 WAYS TO WIN: The tournament pays 50 places deep across 5 divisions: Overall, Single Engine, Spanish Mackerel, Ladies and Youth. Each division has cash and/or prizes with $150,000 total up for grabs.
  • REASONABLE ENTRY FEES: Anglers may fish the King of the Beach for as little as $195 which is half the cost of most Kingfish tournaments. So the risk is smaller and at the same time the rewards are bigger. 1st place overall wins $50,000 guaranteed.

The event is so much more than just fishing. It is a 3 day festival with marine and art vendors, a food festival with local flavor, live music, boat displays and a kids zone. “Combining a community food festival, the Mad Beach Food Fest, with our tournament seemed a natural fit. Fishing is part of our community, so we welcome all to join us” says Old Salt President Tom Verdensky.

The event will be held at the newly renovated Madeira Beach Recreation Fields. Parking is available near the new field and at the Madeira Beach Middle School and shuttles are available.
