Old Salt Summer Sea Wall is a Success!

Old Salt summer sea wall tournament at Gators Cafe

The 2014 Old Salt Summer Sea Wall was a blast! It sure was HOT and HUMID, typical July evening … but everyone sweated it out and had fun. It was held at Gator’s Cafe in Treasure Island (John’s Pass). There were families and friends lined up on all the docks and even on the rocky embankment. We had chum bags lining the area to help attract fish and boy did it work! We weighed over 150 fish in 2 hours. The biggest taking 1st place was a 4.88 lb Snook caught by Chris Lalley, 2nd place was a 2.60 lb Flounder caught by “Quaker” Doyle Kato and 3rd Place was a 2.34 lb Sheepshead caught by Aliyah Lai.  The smallest fish was a .02 lb Greenback brought to the scale by Justin Leonard and Blake Johnston weighed in the most fish with 9 brought to the scales.
