Scipio Creek Marina in Apalachicola, Fl hosted this years Red Snapper Roundup on June 26th & 27th. The Roundup sported a $2500 cash prize for 1st place with an additional $1000 thrown in by Oyster City Suzuki if the winners boat was powered by Suzuki outboard(s). Alle Cat Takes it All at the Red Snapper Roundup
Apalachicola, Florida (June 27, 2020) Mastry Engine Centers announced today that team 10 – 4 BBQ won big at the Apalachicola Red Snapper Roundup hosted at the Scipio Creek Marina on June 26 and 27, 2020. Taking the prize for winning the tournamentwith a 2-fish aggregate of 46.9 pounds.The team took home additional winnings taking the Calcutta with a 25.5-pound red snapper,the largest.In addition, team 10 – 4 BBQ was awarded the Oyster City Suzuki Extra Grand Challenge. The challenge was, if the winning team’s boat was powered by a Suzuki outboard the owner would be awarded the $1,000.00 from Suzuki. In all the team won close to $6,000.00 at the tournament.
The 10 – 4 BBQ team fished on Alle Cat, a Mako 23 powered by a Suzuki DF250 outboard. Those onboard were Alle Cat owners Shawn and Jessica Chisholm, their father Mike Chisholm, their niece; Johanna Broker and Captain Michael Bodiford. Shawn repowered his Mako from an older Mercury outboard and upgraded with a new Suzuki DF250.
Brent Magsig, regional manager for Mastry Suzuki Repower Centers along with Trae Ross, owner of Oyster City Suzuki presented the award and the $1,000.00 to Shawn and his team.
“The whole team was excited to win the Apalachicola Red Snapper Roundup,” Shawn Chisholm stated. “I could not be happier with my Suzuki DF250 4-stroke, it’s a great outboard.”
