Congratulations to Reel Healing’s youth team on the win for Tarpon! This fish was caught on June 13th by 14-year-old Johnny Funk. He was with his three best friends and Reel Healing’s youth team members Tanner Hayes, Chase land, and Eddy Castellanos on Hollywood_outdoors Islamorada Boatworks Morada 24. The fish was hooked up Bean point and took young Johnny over 2 1/2 hours to land. Johnny fought it like a true champ and never gave up! The excitement of these kids can’t be described in words and I feel so privileged to have been a part of it. We are guessing she weighed somewhere around 150-160 pounds and was safely released to be caught again and make more tarpon.  A big shout out to Wesley Hollingsworth for submitting the photo.
